Inclusion of Photographs in the Photos Online Site
The Photos Online site is maintained by the Office of Marketing Communications. All photographs taken by University photographers are evaluated for their quality and support of the University's marketing campaign when considered for inclusion in the site. Photographs will be included that assist in furthering the University's brand as a university of distinction, providing the best undergraduate education in the state and conducting research that empowers students and improves people's lives.
New photographs will be added to Photos Online on an ongoing basis as they become available. Photographs currently in the file will be rotated based on date and usability. The intent is to meet both the immediate and long-term needs of the campus community for photography.
A college or department with an immediate need for photographs not yet available online may schedule a photo shoot with WSU Photo Services using the WSU Photo Services work order. These sessions will be billed to the unit and shots of general interest to the University community will be included in Photos Online.
To request a photo shoot or to suggest photography subjects as part of the long-term building of the Photos Online database, contact Photo Services at photos@wsu.edu. Working from a prioritized list and within the mission of the University marketing strategy, WSU Photo Services and the Office of Marketing Communications will coordinate these shots and make the resulting photographs available in Photos Online.
Washington State Magazine and WSU Today Photography
Photos published in Washington State Magazine and WSU Today that meet WSU brand standards will become available in Photos Online.
Athletics Photography
Spirit photos of WSU athletic events that do not include photographs of current student athletes will be included in Photos Online. Sports action photos must be obtained through the Cougar Athletics Department to ensure compliance with NCAA regulations.
Portraits
Portraits of current University administrators are available.
